* Well, I never asked really – I just assumed that everyone has an aching desire for trashy, torrid, and hyper sexualized Star Trek Voyager stories.
I’m currently 32 years old, and it really sneaked up on me. I spent a lot of my formative years escaping. Life was hard growing up, and I escaped into worlds of fantasy. I devoured comic books, and cartoons, and TV and Film and I wished I could live a life of adventure. I wished that I could l could be anything else. It’s not that I was unhappy, it was more that I was bored and sheltered and felt trapped. So very trapped. So I escaped into worlds of art. I drew pictures and started writing my own stories. But as I fell deeper into my own worlds and those that others had created, I realized that I was growing more and more introverted. It’s my natural state, but i wanted to be social. So I broke out of my comfort zone, and as many other guys have done I’m sure, I chased a girl into the world of performance. It really opened my world up. I mad so many friends. I loved that I was pushing myself to stay open and in the moment. It allowed me to create worlds around me and share them with the reality that I oft avoided.
As high school finished I again found myself lost to my introvertedness. I worked at a comic book store for a while amongst other jobs as I kept lying to myself that I was going to be a professional actor. It wasn’t a good idea for me, because I was growing more and more unmotivated with time – but unfortunately I had begun to identify myself as a performer. I couldn’t let that go, because then I’d have no identity at all. I was miserable and working to support my mom and myself, and even when I moved out and struggled to support myself let alone her as well, I was an actor that wasn’t acting. What made things worse for me was when I did start to get work as an actor – because I was just as unhappy, and I couldn’t understand why.
So I gave up. I cleaned myself up and got a desk job. I tried to settle down, but was extra miserable.
Then I found my first video contest online. It was on craigslist – for a show pilot called Who Wants To be A TV Producer? It lit me up. I knew I could do this. Create a video all by myself. Teach myself how it works. All I had to do was try.
And I did. And against all odds, I won. What I made was silly and weird and terrible, but it was mine. What I would make next would be even better, and I knew it. If you want to see it, here’s a link – but just know that it’s awful. No lights or sound and the goofiest editing ever – but I still love it. It means a lot to me. It was my start.
Now I make videos. Each one gets a little better, and I feel myself grow a little better with each one.

It seems like every once in a blue moon the creators in Disney Animation are handed broad instructions and let loose to do as they pleased. I can’t tell it’s because upper management just gives zero fucks and these insane greenlit productions are pushed through to make a quick buck, or if these wild and wacky chances are fully backed and believed in by those in charge. In either case though, the stars aligned in 1995 and just such a rare occurance was birthed onto the airwaves.
The thing is – no one remembers it.

Internet After Dark plays & reviews: Jacksmith on Kongregate!
Jacksmith is a real time / time management game where you play a donkey blacksmith who makes weapons for warriors to use in their quest to save a princess. The better and faster you can craft your weapons, the better the chances your group of warriors will have to progress. It’s a fairly deep game that requires enough fast and fine motor action to stay interesting while never becoming too frantic to be enjoyable. The art is deep as well. It’s well animated and could have easily been simplified in any number of areas – but the production stays consistent! This is well worth a few hours (or MORE) of your time!

Oddly, the Flavor Police were a band circa 1983 and produced only one song, Bland Prison, before all disappearing under mysterious circumstances.
Last Friday through this weekend, while tooling about Facebook, I saw a massive wave of angry folks posting about their forced conversion to Timeline – the current and far better homepage layout for Facebook.
These latecomers and holdouts are lost and confused, so I’ve put together a few tools and tricks to help guide folks through these scary changes!
Sometimes you just have to look your fridge square in the chops and say, “punch me in the mouth as hard as you can“. Such events should never be tackled by novices, but don’t worry – I’m a Dinnermaster.

It’s not often that you get to meet one of your heroes, but TODAY WAS SUCH A DAY! I met with the Internet’s own Tomska (and a host of others from across the pond) at a meetup in NYC’s Washington Square park! And I saved a woman’s life from a bee! And I got a pair of sweet wristbands from Tomska himself! And I found out that Jenny’s favorite stage show is Rent! And I found out that I’m older than most of Tomska’s fans by more than ten years I think.
IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!
Big thanks to Tomska, Jenny, and all the rest for taking the time and meeting your fans out in the crazy heat after no sleep!
