Last week Star Command by Warballoon Games was released for the iOS platforms. It’s an isometric, grid-based, tactical game played in real time that casts you as the captain of your own starship!
It’s Star Trek by way of Space Quest 5 that plays like Final Fantasy Tactics without all the time wasted waiting for your turn.
If you understand any of that last sentence, then you know just how awesome this game is.
I review the game in today’s episode of Internet After Dark!
In today’s episode, I review Beeline Studio’s Zombie Café.
I like fast paced management simulators like Diner Dash and Theme Hospital – especially when they’re given a subversive twist. To my shock and horror, Zombie Café is not like those games. It’s a slow paced Farmville clone with very little gameplay, social interaction, or customization involved.
It’s a poorly executed game from the same studio that brought us the really fun Ghostbusters iOS game, so I really expected more from them.
Odds are, you’re looking for a light-weight and affordable way to get cleaner audio for your iPad video shoots. The good news is that there is a sturdy and dependable solution available!
Depending on the type of mic you’d like to use, there are several different cords you can purchase from kVconnection.com
But for any mic that is self powered (has an internal battery), much like the lavaliere I used in today’s video – you should use this adapter
I discovered that Regular Show‘s entire first season is now on Netflix, and since it’s come so highly recommended by so many of my friends – I decided to park myself down and take it all in.
This is my review.
Regular Show is the kind of painless fluff you’ve seen over and over again. It’s the story of bros being bros in a world of slight consequence and little responsibility. It’s boring and predictable despite it’s ability to stretch the boundaries of reality.
I have no idea why this show is so popular.

Just before the 90′s drew to a close, the cinema was treated to some of the most self indulgent and sloppily crafted blockbuster films. Most landed with a thud, and one of the thuddiest of 1999 was Barry Sonnenfeld’s Wild Wild West. I’ve been working for a few weeks on a well rounded review of the film, but in my research I came across the Desert Wasp Nitro-Cycle with James West action figure.
Today I open it up for all to see!
Be ASTONISHED as I completely ruin it’s resell value of nearly 15 dollars!
As promised, here’s those pictures!

I’m gearing up for a HUGEInternet After Dark video project, and so to stall for time to tackle an insurmountable challenge, I perform Will Smith’s Wild Wild West.
I GUESS YOU CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THE BIG VIDEO PROJECT’S ABOUT
For those who don’t know what YouNow is, think of it as a G+ Hangout that’s been gamed. Anyone can broadcast at any time to one of a handful of themed rooms (like a music channel or a talk channel). The broadcaster has access to a live stream text feed during their performance, where viewers can directly interact. It’s also an entertainment game – as each broadcaster is given 3 minutes at the start of the broadcast, but must receive more positive votes (you can be down voted) to be awarded another minute of time. Viewers can gift coins and gratitude, and what’s really cool – there’s direct links set up so that YouNow viewers can connect effortlessly with YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
I’ve known about them for a while, but the idea of live broadcasting was scary and I wanted to put more effort into Internet After Dark.
Anyway, few days back I learned about a HUGE audition the website YouNow is hosting. The winner scores a contract deal with Big Frame, and a chance to get some of those billions of views. Would I have to give up a part of my channel’s revenue? Probably. I don’t know the details of their contract. But iron-clad or not, they represent a lot of hot talent and would boost my views into the hundreds of thousands. It could jump start my YouTube career.
All I know is that it’s worth a try!
So given the tools YouNow presents all of it’s broadcasters with, I figured I should try to dust off my old Game Show concept YOU KNOW IT ALL. A show that I always wanted to present online somehow with direct contact with contestants, but the more I tried to use the tools available to me to accomplish this, the more complex and convoluted it became. At one point, I had had it designed where 3 linked computers would be running Skype into a makeshift home studio. It was a mess.
But YouNow was the PERFECT platform for this idea. Direct access to an audience that wants entertainment, and gaming a gamed video website is a natural fit. People WANT to play from page one.
It was all a big risk, but last night I tried it out (after two failures because of Chrome browser incompatibility) and it was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!!
I figured I may get voted off after a few minutes, but the players (and new fans) kept me on the air for over 40 minutes!
I’d like to thank all my players last night. I’m honored, proud, and thankful for their kindness – and I’m emboldened to try this again TONIGHT!
And for IAD fans who missed last night’s surprise test of the new show – use the player below to access the video on YouNow. Also, join up with their site! It’s spam free, connects with Facebook, and for every new fan/new user I can bring in – I’ll be awarded YouNow Bucks that I can use as prize money in upcoming YOU KNOW IT ALL episodes!
Every twelve months, an event so spectacular, so captivating, so happens-every-twelve-months, that America as whole stops what they’re doing and runs to the local drugstore and picks up a copy. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is here! It may have been out for a few weeks, but what better time to crack one open and comment on it’s contents?
Oh, wait.
Wasn’t the Oscars last night?
#OOPS
