I like to make videos.

One of the first things you’ll discover if you want to make videos, is that you’ll need a lot of light. Cameras love that stuff – but you’ll also find out fast that prebuilt light kits can get pricey fast.

In true Scrooge McDuck fashion, I found an amazing design online for a DIY CFL Light Strip that I built myself at a fraction of the cost! The original design was invented by Flaviu Leordeanu, and I followed his sparse pictureless directions to build my own.

Because I love you folks – I’ve created a video tutorial that breaks down the process in an easy to follow and more engaging video format! I even shot today’s episode WITH that CFL light strip!
